Training is held at the Toride Green Sports Center, in Toride-shi, Ibaraki-ken.
Toride is on the Joban Line, which starts from Ueno in Tokyo and runs out to the East, through Chiba-ken and Ibaraki-ken through Toride.
Many people visiting Japan to train travel from Narita Airport up to Abiko, then to go West to Kashiwa and transfer to go on up to Noda on the Tobu Noda Line. To get to Toride, you would transfer at Abiko and go two stops in the opposite direction of Kashiwa (East). To get to Toride, you can take either the Joban Line, or the Chiyoda Line. (The Joban Line is simply the express version of the Chiyoda Line. It stops at selected stations only - the Chiyoda Line stops at every station.) Here is the basic layout of the nearby stations:
| Chiyoda Line | Kashiwa | - | Kita-Kashiwa | - | Abiko | - | Tennoudai | - | Toride |
| Joban Line | Kashiwa | - | - | - | Abiko | - | Tennoudai | - | Toride |
Once at Toride Station, there are 3 ways to get to the Sports Center:
1) Bus or taxi from JR Toride Station (10 mins)
- The taxi fare is 1500 yen, so this might be more suited to a group.
2) Transfer at Toride to the Kanto Tetsudo Joban Line.
Get off at Inatoi and walk (15 mins) or take a taxi.
3) Pick-up by car at either station can be arranged in advance.
When
Training is held on Saturday mornings from 10am to 12noon.
This time slot was originally chosen to create the least amount of overlap or conflict with the regular training of Hatsumi Sensei and the Japanese Shihan. (This was before any of the Shihan were teaching at Honbu Dojo.)
Fees
There is a one-time joining fee for students new to the Bujinkan as well as yearly honbu membership fees in addition to regular dojo training fees.
Please use the contact form or ask me directly regarding these costs.
